KTek's
Success Stories!
KTek's Business philosophy is to only promise what it can
deliver and once promised, do whatever it takes to deliver it - on time
and on budget. Here are some real world examples!
KTek
Solutions Inc. Helps PepsiCo Business Solutions Group (PBSG) Internationalize
Masterfiles through Innovative Java Technology Solutions.
One of the first initiatives
undertaken by PBSG was an Information Technology Project called, Masterfiles
Applications. Simply put, this was a consolidation and a rewrite effort of
the existing Masterfiles like Applications deployed on the OS/2 machines and
supported by all of the PepsiCo companies. These Applications were written
in a proprietary language with no portability to Windows NT and no interoperability
across various PepsiCo Companies. What PBSG wanted was to create single suite
of Masterfiles Applications that would be platform independent and that would
interoperate within its various Companies operating in various Countries.
PBSG had chosen Java as the development language of choice of this purpose.
PBSG engaged the people
of KTEK Solutions Inc, the trusted Information Technology Provider with years
of IT Industry experience and technology provider having done similar Java
based Projects at The Sabre Group and GTE (Verizon), to help deliver Masterfiles,
make it Portable across its various Platforms and Interoperable across PepsiCo
Country-Companies, thus saving development costs to implement its Masterfiles
initiatives.More

KTek Solutions
Inc. helping Frito-Lay sell more chips!
Frito-Lay used a Desktop based
software called a Global Promotions Systems (GPM) to create and maintain their
product promotions. Also, they used this software to manage all the sales
activities generated as a result of the promotions. These promotions resided
in a Database on GPM back-end. The key account Managers used a more flexible
Internet based planning tool to layout the details of the anticipated promotion.
Once the deal was finalized, the KAMs manually fed the information directly
into the back-end GPM database to create an operational Promotion. The GPM
system was used to maintain all operational Promotions.
What Frito-Lay needed was
an automated system that would link the Web based planning system to the GPM
operational system. This would eliminate the manual step of feeding the planning
data into the back-end operational database and remove any element of human
error during the manual step. Frito-Lay wanted to integrate and connect the
web based planning system to the back-end operational system via a controlled
interface. More
